Congratulations on being offered a place within the on-campus accommodation at La Trobe University! We trust you are looking forward to joining us this year. The team at Accommodation Services is excited to meet you and provide an outstanding residential experience in 2019.
In the next few weeks all new students are required to move into their new home for the academic term. Please read carefully through the notes below as they provide some essential information to make your transition to living at La Trobe University Bendigo as smooth as possible:
What must I do prior to checking-in?
To avoid any delays in your check-in please ensure you complete the following compulsory courses and compulsory payments prior to check-in.
Please note: If you have not completed the courses by your check in day, you may be asked to complete the modules prior to receiving your key. The courses take approx. 30 minutes each. There is no need to send us your certificate, we are able to generate a completion report to confirm completion.

You need to have paid your annual compulsory Fee
You have provided a suitable photo for an ID card during your application (You would have already received an email from us if the photo was not suitable.

Students under the age of 18 on Move In Day will need to meet with Accommodation Services staff upon arrival. All Minors and their Guardians are required to sign a form agreeing to refrain from consuming alcohol until they turn 18. Please make yourself known to the staff when you arrive.
Please make sure you have contacted Centrelink prior to your arrival to request your Living Away From Home Allowance and Relocation Scholarship – we have Youth Allowance Rent Statements available at our Accommodation Services Office.
What do you need to bring?
Still wondering what to pack? Here are a few things to remember…
Clothes – this may seem obvious but remember that you will need to pack for all types of weather, activities and conditions. We have all types of events and activities for you to take part in throughout the year…so bathers will help if you’re wanting to Swimming with Dolphins, and snow pants will be great for snowboarding!
Toiletries – It’s always good to start with everything you need. Once you’ve settled into your new home, feel free to visit the local shopping centre to re-stock your supplies.
Linen – Single Bed sheets, pillows and doonas, as well as a towel – Purchase through our store
Laptop/computer – We have computer rooms for you to use, but if you have your own laptop, it’s always good to have – and don’t forget your charger!
Kitchen equipment – We recommend bringing your own pots/pans/plates/cutlery/bowls etc as we don’t supply these in our kitchens.
Mini Bar Fridge – This is optional.
How do I pay my rent?
Via bank transfer or via the StarRez portal. A monthly rent schedule is attached to show you when and how to pay.
