The programs we offer on campus are designed to build communities that foster learning, academic achievement, personal and social development. To achieve this aim, we rely upon a dedicated team of student leaders (called Residential Assistants or RAs), all of whom work hard to provide you with the best residential experience possible.
As you will soon find out during the year, all of our RAs not only play a key role in supporting the general welfare of residents on their floors, towers, wings or units, but they also undertake a specific portfolio responsibility
Student Leader positions
RA Health: Encourage community building, and personal growth and development by organising fun filled health and wellness community events at each residence.

RA Social: promote social inclusion and the residential student experience by organising a range of social events throughout the course of the year.
RA Offsite: plan events and programs for Barnesway, Waterdale Road, Unilodge and Graduate House residents.
Welcome Ambassadors: Provide support and assistant to international students as they arrive prior to the commencement of semester one and two
Sports Representatives: promote, recruit and train players for a series of sporting events (Intercollege Sports Cup) held on campus throughout the year.
Training & Support from Student Leaders
Student Leaders complete a comprehensive training program (supported by training manuals, scenarios, activities and evaluation opportunities) prior to commencement of their roles to help equip them with a theoretical and operational understanding of their student leader responsibilities. As part of the training package, student leaders develop and enhance valuable leadership and employability skills including initiative, communication, teamwork, technology, problem solving, self-management, planning and evaluation.
