La Trobe Sport provides a number of sport and recreation opportunities for students living on campus. 

Whether you are after a health and recreation outlet away from your studies, or looking for a sporting club to join, we have a number of options available for you!

La Trobe Indoor Sports Centre

The La Trobe Indoor Sports Centre is situated right next to Glenn College on the Centreway. The Sports Centre encompasses a wide-range of facilities including a fully-equipped gym, 25m swimming pool, specialty studios (reformer pilates, mind and body studio and functional group training), an indoor court and much more!


Throughout O’Week in both Semester 1 and 2, residential students will be able to take advantage of the Sports Centre’s Accommodation Services Offer, with discounted six-month memberships available from $145.

Specialty Studios

Need a fun and social way to get back into fitness? The La Trobe Sports Centre’s (Bundoora campus) new Speciality Studios include a home for reformer pilates (the ‘Core Cave’), a mind and body Studio (the ‘Zen Den’) and a designated space for functional group training classes (the ‘Strong Zone’).

Active On Campus

La Trobe Sport offers fun, social and organised sporting competitions for students as part of our Social Sport Program at the Indoor Sports Centre at the Bundoora campus. 

Grab a group of friends from your college and join in the fun in a variety of sport competitions including Basketball, Netball, Futsal, Tennis and Dodgeball.

La Trobe University has 25 affiliated sporting clubs. All clubs are run by students with support from La Trobe Sport, and provide something for everyone.

Joining a club provides great opportunities to meet and connect with other people in a vibrant social atmosphere, become involved in new activities, develop new skills and improve your general health and fitness.

Team La Trobe Running Group

The Team La Trobe Running Group aims to connect keen runners within the wider La Trobe community. The Running Group meets twice a week – Mondays at 5:30pm and Wednesdays at 6:30am – at the La Trobe Sports Centre.

Explore the 5km Darebin Creek Trail (with the option to go further if you wish) at your own pace, and the best part is it is completely FREE to join the group.

Team La Trobe Community Events

Get fit, have fun and represent the University in runs, walks and bike rides throughout the year! It’s a great way to meet other active students on campus.

All students are welcome to join in events such as the MS Cycle, the Olivia Newton-John Wellness Walk & Run and the Melbourne Marathon.
